About This Project

The Cube a sculptural sound installation based on the first Platonic solid, which is symbolically associated with the element Earth. Inside, a dark space represents an Alchemic process of Calcination, which starts with Black. This space can be physically entered through a small door, creating the experience of transformation towards Self. Light enters the form through glass beads imbedded into the work in patterns of sacred geometry.

Acoustic resonant sounds vibrate the sculpture, and enable people to feel calmer and more relaxed by slowing their brain waves down to alpha between 8 – 12 Hz.

During the exhibition I experimented with Live Art, performing Metaphysical Sounds: Acts 1-5, from inside the Cube, inviting audiences to engage through listening and touching the vibrating surface of the sculpture.

The Cube a pilot project for starting Nothing ‘is’ Immediate, was commissioned by Bournemouth Emerging Artist Festival (BEAF2019).
